Monthly Meeting
BVDRC July Meeting
Date: Saturday, July 7, 2007
Place: Ron and Judy Marten's place in Snook, Texas
Time: As early as 8:00 am if you want to ride/drive around their
place. Lunch will begin around 11:30 with the meeting to
take place afterwards.
The theme for the meeting is "Patriotic" and will be a pot-luck lunch. Ron and Judy have trails through out their place that are very nice for driving/riding. Bringing animals will depend heavily on the weather and if the Marten's have received a lot of rain, so please be prepared to call before you haul. Their phone number is: (979) 272-1171.
The Brazos Valley Driving and Riding Club offers friendship and driving help and encouragement to people who enjoy driving equines, socializing with people who enjoy driving, or just being with equines horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, of any size from miniature to draft.
The Brazos Riding and Driving Club:
- Provides a way to meet other drivers with similar interests
- Conducts pleasure drives and pot lucks
- Holds driving clinics and educational seminars
- Sponsors driving shows and driving classes in shows
- Sponsors Arena Driving Trials
- Publishes a newsletter four or more times a year
- Holds monthly luncheon meetings, usually every second Thursday
- Conducts Equestrian Market Day in August (flea market for horsemen) buy, sell, trade, socialize
- Holds an annual Christmas party
- Encourages and supports the activities of other equestrian groups
- Disseminates information about driving
- Is a member club of the American Driving Society
